This semester has been an extremely fruitful and healthy semester for us here at CSSE. We hope that all new CSSE students found a home in the department and are creating new ways to call it their own. There are so many ways to get involved on campus and in our department alone, and we hope all students took advantage of that and will continue to take advantage of it in the spring.
If the semester did not go as planned involvement-wise or grade-wise, that’s okay! There is always next semester and there are always so many ways to improve even now. There are bountiful resources here on campus and in the department and we encourage each and every single student to utilize them.
Whether you are an undergrad student or a grad student, resources for study aid and every chance at involvement is open to all students. We would love to see our grad students (and really our undergrad too) get more involved in the volunteer, work, and play opportunities that the department and clubs like IEEE hold on campus.
Here are a few events to keep in mind for the end of the semester:
Tutor-A-Thon- Tues, Dec. 12 @ 11-4pm in Howard Hall 310
CSSE Escape Room- Tues, Dec. 12 Sessions @ 11:30-12:30; 1:00-2:00; 2:30-3:30 in Edison/Atrium 201 (register for a slot to kgatto@monmouth.edu)
We wish you all, students and professors alike, a happy and healthy end of semester, holiday season, and New Year.
See you in January!

Junior software engineering student, Will Jones, wishing everyone a positive finals week and New Year!
