This past weekend was Monmouth's homecoming weekend, a weekend filled with activites for students, faculty, alumni, and guests! The weekend is not all about tailgates and football though, as one may think. Monmouth also hosts events that allow alumni from years past to reconnect with their peers and faculty and young members of the Monmouth community.
Homecoming was kicked off this year with a new event at Ocean Place Resort and Spa for alumni and guests to enjoy drinks and hors d’oeuvres in a beautiful place with that ocean we love so much. Current and former Monmouth staff, alumni across generations, trustees, potential future students and our Monmouth spirit squad gathered together to celebrate our school.
At Ocean Place, everyone enjoyed drinks and food and mingled with friends and made new friends and connections. We heard from Eddie Occopinti, President Brown, and football's Coach Callahan himself! It was a wonderful way to spend a Friday evening and just the beginning of a great Homecoming weekend!
Saturday posed as the typical homecoming football day. The parking lot was packed with students, alumni, faculty, and fans, and even the opposing team drew a large crowd too!

Everyone was tailgating and grilling the morning away while awaiting the highly anticipated football game between our Monmouth Hawks and the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers. Everyone once again had the opporunity to reconnect with old friends or students or teachers and catch up, as well as make new connections!
