This month is the annual Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing to be held in Houston, Texas from October 14th through the 16th . We are glad to say that for the second year in a row Monmouth has a group of faculty and students attending!

GHC is a true celebration of women in computing. It is the largest gathering of women technologists in the world, presented by the Anita Borg Institute and partnered with ACM.

The Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing is inspired by the accomplishments of Admiral Grace Hopper of the United States Navy and, for 13 years, GHC has brought together thousands of students and professional women and men in the world of technology.

The Computer Science and Software Engineering Department and the School of Science enthusiastically encourage both female and male students to attend this conference so they can recognize the importance of gender diversity in computing and be at the forefront of new emerging technologies. Two Monmouth attendees were even awarded full scholarships through GHC!

Our attendees this year are Taylor Klodowski,Jessica Anastasio, Veronica Granite, Taylor Campos, AJ Al-Kandari and Professor Jamie Kretsch. We hope to run into other Monmouth alum at the event!
